Contemporary Visual Arts Network London and PEARL are seeking a local (East London-based) artist to contribute a ready-made artwork for an upcoming science and art event. The event aims to explore the intersection of science and art, specifically focusing on how scientific data can be used to enhance the experience of artwork and create a more immersive environment.
Key Details:
* Date: 25th September 2024
* Location: Barking and Dagenham, London
* Time: 1pm to 5pm (half-day event)
* Transportation: Costs will be covered for artwork delivery and setup
Engagement:
* The selected artist will have the opportunity to showcase their artwork in an interactive setting, where attendees can experiment with lighting, soundscapes, and other elements to enhance the artwork's impact.
* The artist will have the option to be involved in the setup process and engage with attendees during the event. There is an attendee Bursary available for the event of approximately £100 per space (limited to 20 paid places). Please let us know if you are interested in applying for a bursary.
* The artwork should address the following requirements:
Be approximately two meters tall
Be 3-dimensional and presentable/viewable from all/ most sides
Be easily visible from a distance of approximately 10m.
Be visually impactful to accommodate the event's large audience
* The artist will be credited for their artwork, and photographs taken during the event will be used for promotional purposes.
Deadline for Submission: Artwork will be assessed on a rolling basis.

Note: The selected artwork will be chosen based on its suitability for the event's interactive environment and visual impact. The event organizers will work closely with the artist to ensure the artwork is properly showcased and aligned with the event's objectives.
