We are proud to announce that the European Institute of Technology (EIT) Urban Mobility is hosting a Discovery Day at PEARL on 18 March 2024. This is designed to help city leaders and businesses understand how PEARL can help their cities develop in a more sustainable way and encourage useful connections and potential collaborations. In particular, the event will reveal how PEARL is transforming the Future of Urban Mobility.

As the most advanced person-environment research facility in the world, we will demonstrate our ability to simulate urban environments to solve current and future urban challenges. We also have an impressive line-up of speakers including Thomas Ableman, Director of Innovation from Transport for London and Mariya Tarabanovska from Flight Crowd to discuss these issues. Topics will include the future sound of the city in the face of electrification, including the sound design of the London bus AVAS, e-scooter and drones. We will also address challenges imposed by urban lighting, including road visibility, pedestrian safety and legibility of digital signage.

If you are a city leader or business interested in your city's future, we invite you to join us as we showcase the capabilities of this state-of-the-art facility and demonstrate how our research is reshaping the future of urban environments. For further questions, feel free to reach out to west@eiturbanmobility.eu and register your attendance here by 12pm GMT 10 March. We look forward to welcoming you and your colleagues to an enlightening and inspiring day at PEARL.
