PEARL's Making & Production Team works with our researchers to design and create life-size environments (e.g. streets, stations, airports, buildings) for experiments and other events, and to design, set up and operate the sensory and scientific equipment needed to collect the data for our research. We are looking for a Technician to join our Sound and Acoustics team to provide technical support and assistance to all PEARL facility users and ensure that safety procedures are adhered to.
About You
The successful candidates will have appropriate practical experience in a relevant skill (ideally sound), excellent team working skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as both part of a multi-disciplinary team and on own initiative, and the ability to work interactively with a wide variety of disciplines to create a collaborative project. A relevant technical theatre qualification or equivalent experience, and experience working as a technician and/or stage manager, would be an advantage.
